Description

Colonies of Pteroeides are mostly stout and feather-like, with bilateral symmetry in the rachis throughout, the axis is present throughout the colony and polyp leaves are well-developed and rigid due to the presence of one to many supporting rays composed of long needle-like sclerites (Williams 1995).
