DESCRIPTION
Cypraea
onyx, the onyx cowrie, typically lays its egg masses in a gelatinous ribbon-
like form. These egg masses are usually translucent and can be found attached
to substrates such as rocks or other underwater surfaces. The individual eggs
are often tiny and numerous within this ribbon- like structure. The appearance
of the egg mass can vary in colour but is generally delicate and somewhat
transparent.
