 Description:

 

   The shell of Planaxis sulcatus is small and elongated, typically reaching about 1 to 2 centimeters in length. The shell's coloration can vary but is often light brown to yellowish-brown with darker brown spiral bands. This species is found in shallow coastal waters and intertidal zones in tropical and subtropical regions.

   Planaxis sulcatus is a carnivorous snail that feeds on small invertebrates, detritus, and algae. Planaxis sulcatus is distributed in various tropical and subtropical regions, including the Indo-Pacific, the Red Sea, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic Ocean. Like many gastropods, they are dioecious, with separate male and female individuals.
