Description
Botryllus is a genus of colonial ascidian tunicates in
the family Styelidae.
This genus is characterized by endogenous development of eggs, which develop
from the peribranchial cavity as they incubate. Atrial opening is narrow and
small. Stomach is short, barrel or spherical in shape with folds on the
surface.
