Description
Fresh colonies are greenish gelatinous masses of various
shapes. The masses appear to be independent colonies rather than lobes of a
compound colony. Older colonies are dark green in colour. Colony may be in the
form of single lobe to many lobes. Upper surface of the lobe is somewhat
spherical with large and small black dots. Basal portion of the colony is
tapering. Each lobe may contain 2 to 20 zooids. Test is soft, gelatinous and
transparent either greenish, greenish yellow or dark greenish in colour. The
distinct colouration of the zooid is seen through the test. Surface of the test is free from any foreign
matters.
